the last few years it was believed the
2 Reales surcharge was applied only to the 2-4/8c issue of 1882. The stamps shown in this exhibit were instrumental in proving the surcharge was also genuinely applied to both the 1883 First Retouched and 1886 Second Re-touch issues. |
