ADDRESSED TO MANILA
Franked with Red 1c Surcharge block of 4 tied with star dotted cancels.

With the following surcharge errros:
Double Surcharge on Position 2 and Triple Surcharge on Position 4.

The Dotted Star Cancel was used generally from 1880 to 1898, primarily in small towns where there was likely no circular date cancelling device. Other cancels which appear on covers with this cancel were applied in transit. The cancel was used mostly on interior mail rather than overseas mail. It is known only for postal use.
