Davao Province
Farm labor camp closed on June 6, 1944. The POWs first transferred to Cebu Camp on the Yashu Maru and then moved to Manila via the Singoto Maru for incarceration at Camp #3, Old Bilibid Prison, Rizal.

With U.S. censor mark with Examiner number 141. "SEP 4 1943" entry on the side.

Lt Col Halstead C. Fowler commanded the 71st Field Artillery on Bataan
and earned the DSC. Survived the war and was liberated in the Philippines.
He wrote a book called " Recipes Out of Bilibid" after the war.

Garrett Type 2 "Furyu Yubin" Prisoner of War Card:

Circulated for the exclusive use of prisoners of war incarcerated in the Philippines. Printed on buff card stock, measuring 135 x 90 mm. Inscriptions on message side identical to Type I card. 

The inscriptions on the address side similar to Type I, except that the entire inscriptions is shifted downward and the seven kanji "Hito Furyo Shuyosho" in the censor mark are arranged in a single line instead of the two lines. (Garrett p216)
